Ex-Student Spotlight

One of our ex-students, Dorte Meyer from Germany, was in town recently and we managed to catch up with her over coffee for an exclusive interview!

What was your experience on the school?

It was the most amazing experience of my life; basically life changing and altered the course of my life because I didn't go back home!

There was huge impartation of the Father's Heart which I always wanted to know in my own heart. It really touched me and changed me and just the acceptance and the family atmosphere that I experienced, I'd never experienced anywhere else. Just a sense of being together and belonging together was amazing. I learned lots about who I am and that process continued after the school.

What are you doing now and how has the school affected your personal ministry?

Right now I'm living in Canada and I've been there for the last two and a half years and am involved in the prophetic department of our church, mainly in the area of worship.

What I learned here[at Folly's End] and what was imparted still affects me hugely. The message that I carry and teach now is very strongly influenced by what I learned here and over the years that message has dropped deeply into my heart and become my own. It's awesome to see what where it all started again and I'm really grateful for all of it.

What was the process for you after the school?

I was studying English and Music at university in Germany and had been doing that for three years.

My original plan was to take one semester out to do the school and to go back to Germany to finish my degree. The Lord totally changed my plan! While I was at the school, all of a sudden, I could not imagine going back to do this degree. When we went with the school to Ireland on outreach, I knew I wouldn't go back to that.

God spoke clearly to me to return to Ireland to minister. I was there for seven months doing worship, teaching and preaching. Then the Lord moved me on to another school in Canada which had a different kind of emphasis and was a shorter course. Right now I believe that Canada is a home and a place from where he will send me out to all over the world.
