On the Lost Glory, we have developed a very specific teaching programme which, allied to the practical training, has proven to provide a life-changing experience for the students. It covers Heart & Character, Worship as a Lifestyle, Creativity & the Arts, and Leadership & the Prophetic.
A. Heart and Character
We believe it is essential for character to be sound and solid enough to carry the gifts and the anointing. So many times we see character unable to sustain the gifts. The level of gifting within the church is increasing so there is a good case for addressing character issues alongside seeing gifts developed and released. Malachi 3:3 - "He will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver."
To this end we believe some essential ingredients need to be established as part of any ministry/worship school. We see three elements within this area:
1. CLEARING THE GROUND
Before building foundations to place a structure on, first we need to clear the ground. These teachings deal with the blocks that prevent us from hearing God clearly, receiving his Father Heart and generally moving on into the deeper things of God.
We teach and minister into areas such as Bitter Root Judgments / Expectancies, Earliest Wounds and Sins, Restoring Basic Trust, Generational Sin, Freemasonry and Forgiveness.
2. BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION
After clearing the ground we need to build solid foundations of God's love, His truth and Intimacy with our Heavenly Father. We bring teaching on the Father Heart of God, hearing God's voice, freedom from ungodly beliefs and building in truth, and teaching on the source of our significance
Father Heart
This teaching aims to introduce students to the Father Heart of God by:
• Restoring basic trust
• Dealing with past hurts and bringing forgiveness
• Restoring a correct image of God the Father
• Bringing intimacy through walking in the light
Hearing God's Voice
Jesus said "My sheep hear My voice." This teaching genuinely enables God's people to hear from Him clearly, providing very clear protective guidelines to keep people safe as they enter this spirit realm. We cover:
- Understanding the Rhema (spoken word of God)
- Becoming still on the inside and outside
- Journaling as a means of discerning God's voice
- Dream & vision interpretation
- Yada times (intimacy with God)
Exposing Ungodly Beliefs & Building in Truth
This wonderful teaching truly brings freedom in the deepest places by:
Identifying character issues that cause problems (i.e. reactions, inappropriate behaviour etc)
Tracing these and the attached feelings to the root of life events
Uncovering and exposing the lies enabling repentance and forgiveness
Identifying where Jesus was in each life event (Matthew 28:20), bringing his truth and wonderful healing for each individual situation
Our Source of Significance
Artistic people are known to be sensitive people who carry a yearning to be and do exploits of great significance. Life experiences often can cause us to have a distorted view of ourselves and our self-worth. This distortion can hinder and distract and worse still cause us to live our lives always seeking man's approval and applause. The purpose of this teaching is to provide clear biblical instruction about the basis of our self-worth by:
- Identifying and understanding the nature of man's search for significance
- Examining false beliefs, recognising and challenging the world's system of gaining self-worth
- Applying God's solution to our need for value and significance by teaching the true meaning of El Shaddi (source, provider) and how to apply this on a daily basis
3. PROVIDING A FRAMEWORK
When is something learnt? When we have put it into practice. This ongoing experience builds a practical way of ingesting these teachings within the school by using experiential learning where gifts can be developed and encouraged with close monitoring and accountability to enable learning on the job. This helps students to move smoothly from the school environment into their destiny and calling after the school.
B. Worship as a Lifestyle
We believe that musicians, artists, dancers, singers and actors are all potential worshippers and should be released to explore and nurture creativity through worship. The main emphasis of The Lost Glory teaching is the reclaiming of creative and passionate worship. Our goal is to equip God's people to gain freedom and excellence in their expression of worship.
During The Lost Glory course, we will look at the outworking of this through teaching, training, healing and equipping the worshipper to truly become a warrior. Jesus said, "Yet the time is coming and now has come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers that the Father seeks
We will cover the following topics:
- Corporate Worship
- Thanksgiving
- Hebraic Praise
- A Study of the Psalms
- Intercessory Worship
- Cultivating intimacy
- Band Dynamics
- Worship Leading
- Prophetic Worship
- Expressions of Worship
The students are split into small groups and given a chance to share the passion of their heart. Specific themes often include Father Heart, Communion with God, Heart of David. The students can explore these themes by using combined art forms i.e., art, drama/skits, dance, poetry, songs and music. This is an opportunity to have creative free flow, and not be limited to the chosen instrument or art form. We encourage the students to step out of the usual comfort zones.
Intercession
• Developing Intimacy with God and a lifestyle of worship
• Understanding the times we are in and how to flow in Spirit-led prayer
• Scripture and Prayer - tuning into the heart of God
• Standing in the gap - burden bearing
• Mercy not judgment
• Creative prayer
C. Creativity and the Arts
Songwriting
Training the students to step outside of their usual sphere of songwriting by tapping into the Holy Spirit to discover songs from the Heart of the Father, thereby releasing the anointing of King David.
Musicianship
Part of The Lost Glory Course will include musical training. The objective is to take whatever skills are already present and develop them to their fullest ability at the same time showing how these skills may be further developed and giving an idea as to how to develop them in others.
The musical element of The Lost Glory School is about creative performance. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, so a performance does not depend on the skill of the most talented musician or the modest contribution of the humblest; it depends on all those on stage contributing wholeheartedly and without reservation to that performance at that time and in that place. The school is founded on the principal of developing and releasing that creative energy in everyone who participates.
Understanding the place of Music and the Arts in God’s creative purpose
This teaching covers the following topics:
- To be aware of the history of music in the church and church worship
- To be aware of the enemy's tactics in relation to the arts
- Discern one's own God-given artistic talents and the true purpose for which they have been given
- To be ready to engage in spiritual warfare and reclaim all that has been stolen from the church
- To acquire a desire (both individually and collectively) to take one's place in covering the throne of God with praise, worship and adoration, and finding one's rest in God.
