Esther 4:14 For such a time as this

 

Esther was a normal girl who had been taken captive, her parents had died, her relative Mordecai had brought her up in the Jewish tradition, but God had an amazing plan for her and Mordecai’s lives.

 

Do you believe that God has a supernatural plan for your life, although at this moment it may not seem possible?

 

God used Mordecai a seemingly unknown Jew, he raised him up to such a position of greatness that he was able to save the Jewish race from being wiped out at a particular time in history.

 

Do you believe that God has created and designed you for a destiny and a purpose, maybe not as famous as Esther’s but still as important in God’s plan.

 

I hear you say “but I am just an ordinary person, living an ordinary life”, but are you?

 

Jesus went through a long training period before he fulfilled his Godly destiny, even Jesus battled with making the right choice at Gethsemane, have a read of Math 26:39.

 

OK Jesus is God, but the disciples were ordinary folk, like you and me, but with a real purpose awaiting them. Their training was with Jesus in human form, cool eh!

 

So what times are we in, all around the world preachers are saying that we are living in awesome times.

I believe that we are in a time of training, Gods training time, but for what? What is God about to do that we need training?

 

Mordecai’s life was his training ground, yet I suspect he was not aware of it at the time. In my experience it is only when I look back that I can see God’s hand on my life.

 

God used Mordecai to train Esther, he challenged her with “maybe you are Queen for such a time as this”, Esther took a life and death step of faith and saved the Jews from certain death. Wow.

 

You are in training right now for Gods purposes in the future, however these will not automatically come to pass, Gods training system allows for us to make Godly choices, our destiny may be dependant on our responses to God.

 

Rick Joiner from Morning Star Ministries says that the Christians best training ground is in the local church. God will use people in the church, or leaders to set up challenging situations, why! Because he wants to see how you will respond in your heart, no not outwardly, in your heart.

 

You may not see yourself worthy of doing the work of the Lord, but God does and he has you in training.

So today choose to agree with God about your destiny, decide whether you really are serious about his future for you, get stuck in wherever you are, take God’s free on the job training, look out for the Lords intervention in your life and say Yes to his call.
