The Release of the Minstrel and the Bluestone Anointing

The first time Ray Hughes came to visit Folly's End, he stood for a long time looking at the stone we had set up in the foyer. I had asked for the stone be set up because one Sunday evening in the April of 1998, the leadership of our church had experienced the presence of God in a remarkable way, and as a result, to remind us of the vows we made during the visitation.

Ray stood looking at the stone for a long time without talking, and then asked me if I knew what it was. I said no, I had asked for it to be set up to, but had not chosen the actual stone myself. He then told me the stone looked like a piece of blue granite from the Phwethelli mountains in Wales, and just before his trip, prophet Bob Jones had said to Ray to look for the Blue Stone, and that when he found it, he would know there was an anointing to release the minstrel!

The amazing thing was before Ray came my wife Ze had at least three vivid dreams where Jesus had given her a beautiful blue stone - and she had been affected by this so much that I had bought her a blue topaz as a present.

So before we go any further, let's ask, what is a minstrel? The word minstrel is described in the dictionary as a singer, or a musician or both. The word comes from a French word 'menestral' meaning an entertainer, a servant, and from the Latin 'ministralis' meaning an officer. Among others, this describes pretty accurately the sort of people I understand well and have a burden for - the artist, the musician, the entertainer and the leader. One of our main callings is to nurture, encourage and release the creative people the Lord gives us. The vision is expanded in my book "The Lost Glory", and it is the reason we set up the Lost Glory School of Worship and ministry here in Folly's End.

The school is about passion, fire, imagination and vision as well as healing, good theology, leadership and ability in the arts, and since the start of the School, we have seen supernatural results in our students - the minstrel is being released in powerful ways and God is equipping creative people to stand with the best!

You may be one of those God is calling - if you are, the Lost Glory School may be part of your destiny, and the anointing is yours for the taking.

DAVE MARKEE

A Vision for The Lost Glory School

Dorte Meyer was a student on our school in 2001. Since then God has been using her to lead worship and reach out to the community using prophetic songs in Kelowna, BC, Canada.

I was lying on the floor soaking at my friends house in BC, Canada when I got a vision for The Lost Glory School.

I saw God putting a big blue stone into Dave Markee's hand. Immediately I had to think of the "blue stone anointing" and I felt that this is what the picture represented.

God had placed this stone into Dave's hand, representing Folly's End Church and the school. Then God said "Throw it down" and when he did the stone smashed into hundreds of tiny little pieces.

What I felt God saying was "Teach them about brokenness." God then picked up the little pieces and inserted them in the needle of an old fashioned record player. There were lots of record players and most of them played those old 45 records, like the old Beatles singles. The sounds that were heard were beautiful, creative and lots of variety.

The stone had to be broken in order to be useful. All records were playing at the same time, although all played a different sound, creating one wonderful melody.

(End of vision)

The Scriptures that came to mind were:

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain."
John 12:24

"And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."
Matthew 21:44
